May Competition Commitment Form & Information
Hello families,
After an incredible competition weekend, we are super excited to start planning our May Competition! We will be attending Dance Ovations in Hingham MA the weekend of May 10-12! (They almost always schedule the entire competition on that Saturday so it does not interfere with Mother’s Day:)) Competitions are a great way for the girls to grow, build their skills and make important connections in the dance world 🙂
Below is a reminder of the pricing for the competition:
Solo: $295 per competition (includes two 1 hour private lessons before each competition)
Duet/Trio/Small Group: $100 per student, per competition (includes two 1 hour privates lessons)
***Here at Exhale, we try to instill the importance of team. Group dances are the priority, therefore, students should not plan to compete their solo or duet/small group if they do not wish to register to compete in the group dances and production pieces.
Groups: $70 per person, per group, per competition (Rehearsals are in class and included in our annual tuition)
Here are the group pieces that we will be bringing to the competition:
EDYI I: Jazz & Tap group dance. Total cost for competition would be $140
EDYI II: Jazz & tap group dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for competition would be $280
EDYI III: Jazz & tap Group Dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for each competition would be $280.
EDYI IV & V: Jazz & tap Group Dance, Modern Group Dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for each competition would be $350
***Please fill out the Competition Commitment Form by March 18th! Once you fill out this form, Kristin will send you an invoice on 3/18 and will charge your account on March 20th. If you have any questions, please email Kristin at registration@exhaledance.com or Melissa at edc@exhaledance.com
Pasta Fundraiser Updates
Emails were just sent out to families who sold pasta during our fundraiser with the amount that they will be allocated towards the May competition:) If you did NOT receive an email but we’re expecting one, please email Miss Melissa at edc@exhaledance.com!
Lions Talent Show April 4th EDYI 2-5
The Lions have invited us to perform at their annual talent show on April 4th! Upon the Lions request, we will be performing Clap Snap (EDYI 3), Through The Dark (EDYI 4/5) Smile (EDYI 2-5) and Glimpse Of Light (EDYI 2-5)!
Talent Show Performance: April 4th @ King Philip Middle School, dancers arrive at 5:30, show begins at 6:00:)
Return Group Costumes!
Friendly reminder that all group dance costumes should be returned to the studio by Wednesday if you have not already brought them! (Solo/duo/Run Like The River costumes should stay at home!)
Polar Plunge April 6th – All EDYI
We have been invited once again to perform at the Lions Polar Plunge on April 6th! This is a very special event and we cannot wait to showcase our routines this year!
Polar Plunge April 6th: All EDYI arrives at 8:30 am. Event takes place from 9-11:) More details will be out soon! (This is the same day as dress rehearsal for our Fundamental students. EDYI does NOT have dress rehearsal this day!)
Recital Reminders:)
Recital tickets will be going on pre sale for EDYI families on April 1st at 7:30 pm! I wanted to remind everyone that each member of EDYI level 1-5 will be performing in both shows! However, Show 1 will feature more EDYI 1 & 2 routines, and Show 2 will feature more EDYI 3, 4 & 5 routines:)

- Weekend in June TBD – EDYI Showcase / Banquet
- June 26-30 – Dance Ovations Nationals, Hyannis MA
- July 9th- August 6th – Technique Tuesdays
- August 12th-16th – Summer Camp
- Technique Tuesdays & Summer Camp are required for dancers to be considered for a Nutcracker lead!
