NUTCRACKER CASTING
Dear Parents and Dancers,
Emails detailing the Cast of this year’s Nutcracker will be sent out at the beginning of this week. The team of Choreographers for the Production have spent an extensive amount of time considering our options to cast these roles, and we are quite pleased with the outcome!
Please note that parameters for potential extra rehearsal (days and time frames) will be included in the Cast email. Please consider these parameters and discuss with your dancer(s) before accepting any role that is offered.
It should also be noted that attendance to “Technique Tuesdays” played a significant part in our casting decisions. However, given the depth of talent in our casting pool, we have redesigned the Production, creating additional moments to feature more dancers. We truly believe that our efforts will not only produce a Nutcracker that surpasses our past success, but a performance that will truly be memorable!
DISCOVERY DAY AGENDA
- Friday, September 20th: Mandatory Discovery Day Rehearsal…5:00-6:30 at Holbrook Studio ALL MUST ATTEND!
- Saturday, September 21st: Discovery Day Performance…Norfolk Town Hill. Dancers should arrive at 2:30 and meet by the Gazebo. Dancers will need to remain onsite until 5:30 pm

- Current EDYI Team Leotard
- Sparkle Skirt (These will be distributed during the week)
- Tan Tights (Please wear tights that were used for Recital and/or Nationals)
- Tan Jazz Shoes (Must be Performance Quality!)
