National Updates:

Here is a tentative schedule for nationals that was copy and pasted from the information we were given (this is subject to change):
*As a reminder, the Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule will be run as normal until nationals.
Monday, June 23rd:
2:00-3:30: optional solo/small group rehearsal
4:00-5:30: EDYI Blue and Green
5:30-6:30: Whole Company
6:30-8:00: EDYI Purple

Wednesday, June 25th :
2025 Title Contestant’s Interviews and Classes/ Titleist “Opening Number” Rehearsal
Thursday, June 26th : NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP begins…
All 2025 Title Contestant’s Performances ~ “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “DISCO PARTY”
Friday, June 27th: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP continues… ~ “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “MASTER CLASSES”
*Please note: TBD… Saturday will be added to schedule of competition If additional time is required.
Saturday, June 28th: ~ “Opening Number” Rehearsal ~ “DANCE ON” ~ “GALA – NATIONAL AWARDS PRESENTATION”

NATIONAL FEES:

As was mentioned at our student/parent meetings last June we were not able to add in all extra fees for nationals to our annual tuition, as we were unsure what they would be. Each student will have to pay an additional $200 to cover these extra fees. Kristin will charge this $200 fee on June 1st with your monthly tuition. This fee will cover:

All mandatory master classes
The Disco Party
The Dance On Contestant Entry Fee (Like last year, admission will still be $10 at the door for audience members.)
Registration Fee

TITLE CONTESTANT FEES:

Like last year, there is an extra fee for being a national title contestant. This fee is $100. In the competition results you will find a list of all the students who are eligible to run for title. Please email registration@exhaledance.com, if you are NOT going to participate in title competition by noon on Thursday, May 22nd. She will charge this $100 fee on June 1st, as well. This fee will cover:

Audition Classes
Interview
All Opening Rehearsals
Entry Fee

Students running for title will also need:

Black leotards (there are several rehearsals; make sure you have enough) – A special one to wear for the opening number performance at the gala.
Black tights (there will be several rehearsals; make sure you have enough) – A clean performance pair for opening number performance at the gala.
Black dance shorts
Black jazz shoes

Please note that title contestants will be expected to attend extra rehearsals, classes and an interview. Therefore, there is a larger commitment. I highlighted all the activities that title contestants need to attend. The faculty understand if this commitment is not right for your family, and your dancer’s solo can still be added into the regular competition.

National Title Contestants Headshot:

All title contestants will need a 5X7 headshot. Jake Jacobson has offered to come this Friday from 5:00-7:30 to take these photos. Dancers should are welcome to wear their hair however they would like, even if it does not fit dress code for this day. :). They can either wear their leotard or bring a plain shirt to put over their dance attire. Jake is charging $20 for the headshots. Please bring $20 in cash in an envelope with your dancers name on it. ***If your dancer will not be here this Friday you must provide a printed black/white headshot by Tuesday, May 27th. Also, please email me a digital copy, as Exhale will be doing something special for all the contestants! Please let us know if you are not doing your dancers headshot with Jake, as I need to let him know how many dancers to expect.

***Lyla and Sophia will need two headshots. The second taken in their crown and jacket as 2024 National Title Winners. (There will be no additional cost for this.).
