Knee Protection!

Hello everyone! We had a wonderful first day of camp today! Our dancers worked so hard and it was so fun having everyone back in the studio!

Today we did a lot of conditioning on the floor and did a lot of conditioning work on our knees. Dancers are asked to please bring a sweatshirt or towel to class to project their knees from the hard floor!

We would also like to encourage dancers to bring a pair of knee pads to class if they would like. This is completely optional, however may be beneficial as our dancers continue with floor work throughout the year! Extra knee protection can never hurt! **Knee pads are to be worn in class and not onstage!

I have attached a link to some reliable knee pads that are soft and perfect for dance. I recommend knee pads that are gel or sponge, such as knee pads for volleyball or figure skating. (I would discourage using knee pads that have a hard surface, as they can lead to injury of yourself or others!)

Please let me know if you have any questions! -Melissa
