IMPORTANT DATES FOR FEBRUARY

Friday February 27th: Extravaganza Master Class!

Saturday February 28th: Extravaganza performance workshop day!

Class Update Extravaganza Week

In preparation for the Extravaganza this week, we are modifying our class schedule for the week:

MONDAY (weather permitting, will make the call on Monday)

Green/Purple Team – 4:00-6:30

Red Team: 5:30-9:00

WEDNESDAY:

Green/Purple Team – 4:00-6:30

Red Team: 5:30-9:00

THURSDAY:

All team group run-through: 5:45-7:30 (in lieu of hip hop/acro)

**We strongly encourage all dancers from all teams to attend this rehearsal if they are able!

FRIDAY:

Extravaganza master class for all levels: 4:00-7:00

Parent/dancer tap history class with Thelma Goldberg: 7:00-8:00

GROUP DANCE RUN THROUGH THURS 2/26

We will be running all group dances during hip hop/acro class time on Thursday 2/26 from 5:45-7:30! **We strongly encourage all EDYI dancers to attend this rehearsal if they are able

IMPORTANT EXTRAVAGANZA INFORMATION

We are so excited for the exciting Extravaganza weekend ahead! Here is some very important information regarding the event:

FRIDAY 2/27 – MASTER CLASS DAY:

4:00-7:00 – Master class with Thelma Goldberg (all teams)

7:00-8:00 – Parent/dancer tap history presentation with Thelma Goldberg (all parents and students should attend!)

WHAT TO WEAR/ BRING: Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, black team shorts, team jacket, hair in a slick bun. Dancers should bring all dance shoes, water and a healthy snack!!

SATURDAY 2/28 – PERFORMANCE DAY

**EDYI pointe will not be held!

11:45 – Dancers arrive in full makeup and hair (low slick bun, middle part), wearing team earrings

**DANCERS SHOULD WEAR IN THIS ORDER: nude leotard, old tan tights (save new performance tights for competition) black team shorts, all dance shoes should be brought!!

12:00-6:00 – Performance and feedback sessions with Thelma!

**Dancers should bring plenty of water and healthy snacks for the day!!!

6:15 – Parents arrive for awards presentation and sneak preview of competition dances!

7:30 – Reception at Sunshine Tomato Pizzaria in Norfolk!

EXTRAVAGANZA RECEPTION RSVP

We are excited to share that we will be holding a reception after the Extravaganza on Saturday February 28th at Sunshine Tomato Pizza from 7:30-9:30! Please RSVP by TOMORROW so we can get a headcount!

IMPORTANT COSTUME INFORMATION

Please look over costume information very carefully!

**Reminder that all dancers will need to wear their black team shorts for their production costume!

MARCH COMPETITION SCHEDULE UPDATE

We have a small update on Kaleidoscope’s schedule! Some things are still being solidified but here is what we know so far:

WHEN: SATURDAY MARCH 7TH

WHERE: NEW BEDFORD MA

Doors open at 7:45 am. Final awards is tentatively at 8:00 pm, but is subject to change.
