Tech Rehearsal 5/1
Tech rehearsal is Wednesday 5/1 at Natick Middle School! Dancers should wear their regular class apparel (leotard, tights, shorts) and hair should be in a slicked back bun! BRING ALL SHOES! **Makeup is not necessary for tech rehearsal:) Here is the schedule for tech:
EDYI Level 1: 6:00-7:30
EDYI Level 2-5: 6:00-9:00

Recital Information
The recital is only 6 days away! Here is some important reminders about the day:
- Show Date: Saturday May 4th
- Show Venue: Kennedy Middle School in Natick (165 Mill St)
- Show Time: 11:00 am and 2:30 pm (EDYI arrives at 9:30 am and performs in both shows!)
- Dancers will be going home with their recital costumes and all their recital tights after class on Friday!
- Dancers should arrive on Saturday wearing their regular class attire, full stage makeup and slicked back performance bun on the crown of the head!
- Dancers must bring all of their costumes, their nude leotards and all of their dance shoes!
- Lunch will be served for dancers between shows. We will not be collecting money for lunch this year, as we have fundraised enough money to provide food for the dancers:) There will be pizza and chicken fingers!
- Dancers will bring their costumes home after the recital and will hold onto them for the competition the following week!

Dance Ovations Hingham Schedule
Below is the schedule for the competition. Over the years Dance Ovations has had the reputation of running an hour or two ahead of schedule! However, we have to make sure we are there early so we don’t miss our performance entry # slot. They can be flexible, but professionalism and understanding how these competitions run are very important 🙂 Most of the performers are there the entire day. They thoughtfully try to rush ahead to get us all home at a decent hour. Here at Exhale, we emphasize the importance of being part of a team. This competition is very short and we are hoping that people will make the choice to be at the venue for the whole day and support their team members!😊

Nationals Commitment Form
The nationals commitment form is officially open! ***Please fill out the form by May 15! Once you fill out this form, Kristin will send you an invoice and will charge your account on May 20th. If you have any questions, please email Kristin at registration@exhaledance.com or Melissa at edc@exhaledance.com
Below is a reminder of the pricing for the competition:
Solo: $295 per competition (includes two 1 hour private lessons before each competition)
Duet/Trio/Small Group: $100 per student, per competition (includes two 1 hour privates lessons)
***Here at Exhale, we try to instill the importance of team. Group dances are the priority, therefore, students should not plan to compete their solo or duet/small group if they do not wish to register to compete in the group dances and production pieces.
Groups: $70 per person, per group, per competition (Rehearsals are in class and included in our annual tuition)
Here are the group pieces that we will be bringing to nationals:
EDYI I: Jazz & Tap group dance. Total cost for competition would be $140
EDYI II: Jazz & tap group dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for competition would be $280
EDYI III: Jazz & tap Group Dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for each competition would be $280.
EDYI IV & V: Jazz & tap Group Dance, Modern Group Dance and 2 production pieces. Total cost for each competition would be $350
EDYI Banquet 6/8
We wanted to give everyone the heads up that we are planning to hold our EDYI Banquet on Saturday June 8th at 5:00 pm at the Galvin’s House! (10 Garnet Dr, Franklin MA) If it rains that day, the banquet will be moved to the day after. Don’t forget to upload photos for the slideshow, link can be found in previous blog:)

- May 29 – EDYI Auditions (Level 1-2 4:00-5:30, Level 3-5 5:30-7:00)
- June 8 – EDYI Banquet
- June 10, 11, 12 – EDYI Meetings and Apparel Fittings
- June 15 – Community Day (Community Day dress Rehearsal 6/14)
- June 26-30 – Dance Ovations Nationals, Hyannis MA
- July 9th- August 6th – Technique Tuesdays
- August 12th-16th – Summer Camp
- Technique Tuesdays & Summer Camp are required for dancers to be considered for a Nutcracker lead!
